Football Game Preview: South Iredell Vikings vs. Davie County War Eagles + How To Watch

The South Iredell Vikings will take on the Davie County War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Iredell will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

South Iredell is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past North Iredell to the tune of 49-21 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Donavon Henderson Jr went supernova, rushing for 162 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. Those 162 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tristan Cowan, who threw for 186 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Davie County came up short against Lake Norman on Friday and fell 23-10. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Davie County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for South Iredell, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-6.

South Iredell came out on top in a nail-biter against Davie County in their previous meeting back in September of 2019, sneaking past 31-28. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the War Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
