Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Tolman

Tolman posted their biggest win since February 12th on Saturday. They blew past the St. Raphael Academy Saints 68-44. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tolman had a senior duo take command as John Hilaire posted 15 points in addition to seven assists and five boards and Hayson Ortiz went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and four steals. What's more, Hilaire also racked up five steals, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Fleury, who had 15 points and five rebounds.

Tolman pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for St. Raphael Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tolman will take on North Kingstown in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Raphael Academy and Pilgrim will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
