Basketball Recap: Riverwood Comes Up Short

Riverwood lost against Sequoyah back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Riverwood Raiders were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 75-74 to the Sequoyah Chiefs.

Despite the loss, Riverwood still got an impressive performance from Jr Leonard, who en route to 39 points and seven boards. The match was Leonard's 12th in a row with at least 29 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clinton Mccants, who to rack up 20 points.

Riverwood's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Sequoyah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Riverwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-64 defeat against Milton on the 19th. As for Sequoyah, they have also already played their next matchup, a 67-57 win against Seckinger on the 19th.
