Baseball Recap: Garrison Drops Season-High Score on Corrigan-Camden

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Garrison had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over Corrigan-Camden. Garrison's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Dallas McFadden was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Riley McGuire was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Burkhalter, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Garrison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Garrison is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Corrigan-Camden, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1.
