Football Game Recap: Shanley vs. St. Mary's Central

Shanley faced St. Mary's Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams. St. Mary's Central came up short against Shanley on Friday, falling 7-14. St. Mary's Central's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The defeat dropped St. Mary's Central's record to 5-1. The victory bumped Shanley's record up to 6-0.

Next week St. Mary's Central take on Watford City at Bismarck Community Bowl at 6:30 PM. Watford City are limping into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Shanley, they will face off against Valley City. Shanley have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Valley City are surely hoping to exploit.
