Volleyball Recap: Timpview Takes a Loss

Timpview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Salem Hills Skyhawks, falling 3-0. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Skyhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

While Timpview was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-21.

Bowie Asvitt paced Timpview's offense, picking up 12 kills. Asvitt got some help from Ikaika Reyes and his 20 assists.

Timpview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Salem Hills, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Timpview and Salem Hills will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Timpview sees the court they'll take on Spanish Fork at 6:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Salem Hills, their break will end when they face Springville at 6:30 p.m. on April 8.
