Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Clare Everhart and Kameron Welshans Lead Cair Paravel to Victory

There's no place like home for Cair Paravel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Council Grove Braves by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won three in a row.

While Cair Paravel won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-12.

Cair Paravel was led to victory by Kameron Welshans and Clare Everhart. Welshans had six digs and four aces, while Everhart had 18 assists and one block. Those four aces gave Welshans a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Cair Paravel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.

Cair Paravel's record is now 12-7. As for Council Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-19-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cair Paravel beat the Braves by a score of 2-0 later that day.
