The Millsap Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the City View Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Millsap's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They really took it to Valley View for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-0 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Millsap found their leader in sophomore Braun Johnson, who rushed for 162 yards and three scores on only ten carries. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 113 every time he's taken the field this season. Luke Camarillo was in the mix too, providing Millsap with one touchdown.
Millsap didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Corey Goen and Caden Martinez. Millsap received some extra help from Camarillo, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, City View hadn't done well against Holliday recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mustangs walked away with a 34-27 win over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.
Millsap better keep an eye on Malachi Williams. He was instrumental in City View's win, rushing for 77 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 181 yards and two touchdowns. Williams also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending two passes.
Millsap's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for City View, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Millsap has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 233 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like City View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 198.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Millsap took a serious blow against City View when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 55-12. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Williams, who rushed for 139 yards and three scores on only 15 carries, and also threw for 198 yards and one TD. Now that the Bulldogs know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
