Basketball Recap: Tuluksak Comes Up Short

Tuluksak saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Chaputnguak Shaman 86-27. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jenalyn Napoka and Leandra Napoka certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Jenalyn posted 13 points, while Leandra scored ten points.

MacKenzie Larsen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chaputnguak, putting up 29 points. With that strong performance, Larsen is now averaging an impressive 16.8 points per game. Another player making a difference was Maisha Erik, who had 18 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Tuluksak and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Chaputnguak, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Tuluksak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-32 victory against Ayaprun on the 30th. As for Chaputnguak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-41 defeat against Chevak on the 30th.
