Recap: Veritas Christian Eagles vs. Hartford Jaguars
On Thursday, Veritas Christian was beaten by Hartford 61-15.
When it comes to explaining why Veritas Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rachael Gaspers. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Gaspers scored a full 73.3% of Veritas Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Nicole Gaspers was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Veritas Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hartford, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Veritas Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kansas City Christian School on January 4, 2024. As for Hartford, they will square off against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
