            Baseball Preview: Tahlequah Tigers vs. Durant Lions        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Tahlequah will face off against Durant. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Tahlequah Tigers  duke it out with  Durant Lions at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
Tahlequah fought the good fight in their extra-innings  matchup against Durant  on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took  a  10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Durant's part,  Jackson Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Williams also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Durant is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 3-5 otherwise. Williams was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Aiden Diviney was a standout: he went 1-for-5 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. He has become a key player for Durant: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 1-6 otherwise.  Lucas McClure was another key player,  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances with two  RBI.
 The  win made it two in a row for Durant and  bumps their season record up to 5-6. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Tahlequah, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
