Football Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Bridgeport's offense. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Graham Steers on Friday. The Bulls have struggled against the Steers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Jace Gill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Graham, throwing for 266 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those three passing touchdowns gave Gill a new career-high. 87 of Gill's passing yards were hauled in by Walker Bennett, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Graham, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bridgeport is set to face off against their familiar foe Eagle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant wideouts against one another: Dylan Hunter and TERRY STARKS. Meanwhile, Graham will challenge rival Mineral Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
