Basketball Recap: Garaway Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Garaway walked away with it. They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over the Coshocton Redskins on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since January 14th.

The victory (which was Garaway's third in a row) raised their record to 18-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Coshocton, they moved to 21-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Garaway will square off against Minford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Minford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 24 matchups -- so hopefully Garaway likes a good challenge. Coshocton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
