Basketball Recap: Quakertown Takes a Loss

Quakertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 72-60 to the Upper Moreland Bears. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Bears are ranked 88th).

Quakertown's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Upper Moreland, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Quakertown and Dock Mennonite will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Dock Mennonite will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Quakertown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Upper Moreland, they will square off against Neshaminy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
