Basketball Recap: Greenfield Takes a Loss

Greenfield lost against Whitnall back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitnall Falcons.

It was another big night for Riley Ward, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 20 points and five rebounds for Whitnall. Ward's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ella Koch, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Whitnall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenfield will square off against Brown Deer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whitnall, they will face off against South Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
