The Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos will venture away from home to  challenge the Twin Lakes Indians  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
On Thursday, Lafayette Jefferson didn't have quite enough to beat Western Boone and fell  5-4. The Bronchos have struggled against the Stars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
  Abbigail Griffith was cooking despite her team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI.
Meanwhile, Twin Lakes got themselves on the board against Frontier on Thursday, but Frontier never followed suit. They blew past the Falcons 12-0. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Indians.
 Madalyn Bird made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  run.
 In other batting news, Twin Lakes let  Taylor Oliver and  Quinn Gilford run wild. Oliver  went 3-for-5 with three  RBI and one  run, while  Gilford  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  Oliver has posted since back in April of 2024.  Morgan Rodziewicz also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Twin Lakes was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frontier only posted a  batting average of  .182.
 Twin Lakes' win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 11-17. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.
Friday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lafayette Jefferson hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Twin Lakes struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Lafayette Jefferson skirted past Twin Lakes  5-4 in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bronchos since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
