A Season-Best Effort from Jordan Stapleton Leads West Harrison over Picayune

Sadly, Jordan Stapleton posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead West Harrison over Picayune on Friday. Stapleton rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 129 rushing yards dating back to last season.

This season, Stapleton has averaged 42.7 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 52 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 165.29 rushing yards.

Trey Harris Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, West Harrison had to settle for second even though Trey Harris put up the best numbers he has all season. Harris rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (103) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
