Baseball Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Spring Lions

For the second straight game, MacArthur will face off against Spring. The Generals will host the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Spring a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

Last Tuesday, MacArthur didn't have quite enough to beat Spring and fell 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Generals have lost by just one run.

For Spring's part, Joshua Porter was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Porter a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Anthony Cuarenta, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Spring's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for MacArthur, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
