Basketball Game Preview: Chaparral Pumas vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

Having just played yesterday, the Chaparral Pumas will jump right back in to play the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Chaparral is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Irvine just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. The match between them and the Vaqueros didn't end well, with Chaparral falling 64-46. While losing is never fun, the Pumas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Vaqueros are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge earned a 70-60 victory over Boulder City on Thursday.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Shadow Ridge, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
