Basketball Game Preview: Verona Hillbillies vs. West Essex Knights

The Verona Hillbillies will challenge the West Essex Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Verona will be strutting in after a win while West Essex will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, Verona made easy work of Cedar Grove and carried off a 37-13 victory.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, West Essex's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Caldwell 42-37. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

West Essex's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Verona, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Verona came up short against West Essex when the teams last played on Friday, falling 41-29. Can Verona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
