Volleyball Recap: West Davidson Comes Up Short at Home Against North Surry

West Davidson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Surry Greyhounds on Tuesday.

While West Davidson had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22.

Leading North Surry to victory were Julie Anna Lawson and KK Adame. Lawson had 21 digs, while Adame had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Lawson has posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got North Surry back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, West Davidson will challenge North Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Surry, they will welcome Alleghany at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
