Basketball Recap: Hattie Clark's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Westbrook over Gorham

Westbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between them and the Gorham Rams didn't end well, with the Westbrook Blue Blazes falling 48-32. If the Blue Blazes were looking for revenge after losing 51-19 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westbrook lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hattie Clark, who posted eight points and seven rebounds. Those seven boards gave Clark a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyla Dunphe, who scored six points and ten rebounds.

Westbrook's record now sits at 9-11. As for Gorham, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Westbrook will welcome Deering at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gorham, they will head out on the road to square off against Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sanford will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Gorham surely won't give up without a fight.
