Basketball Recap: Hawley Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Hawley suffered their closest loss since December 16, 2023 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Perham Yellowjackets by a score of 56-54. The Nuggets have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Kaia Anderson was her usual excellent self, going 7 of 14 on her way to 21 points and eight rebounds for Perham. Anderson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Grismer, who posted 13 points and four steals.

Hawley's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9. As for Perham, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Hawley has already played their next game (against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Perham has already played their next matchup, a 70-69 win against Pelican Rapids on the 28th.
