Basketball Recap: Mercer County Titans vs. Burgin Bulldogs        
        
		
            
 Make it nine blowout wins for the Mercer County Titans this season. They really took it to Burgin for the full four quarters, racking up a  61-34 win on the road. With Mercer County ahead  42-17 at the half, the  game was all but over already.
 Mercer County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Sara Dunn led the charge by  dropping  a double-double on 17 points and 12  rebounds.  Ak Drakeford was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points along with seven  steals and six  assists.
 Mercer County is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Burgin, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-12.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercer County and the Colts will face off  at 7:30  p.m.  on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. West Jessamine is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Burgin, they won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against the Yellowjackets at 12:00  p.m.  on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Kentucky (Middlesboro is ranked 223rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 202nd).
