Volleyball Game Preview: Perry Central Commodores vs. Boonville Pioneers

The Commodores will venture away from home to challenge the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Boonville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Perry Central, who comes in off a win.

Perry Central took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mitchell as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Commodores in their matchups with the Bluejackets: they've now won three in a row.

Perry Central never let Mitchell on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-7, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Boonville lost 3-0 to North Posey on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Perry Central's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Boonville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Perry Central came up short against Boonville in their previous matchup back in August of 2019, falling 3-1. Can the Commodores avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
