Volleyball Recap: Joliet West Find Success

Joliet West won the last time they faced Illinois Math & Science Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Titans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Joliet West easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11.

Drew Johnson paced Joliet West's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Nolan Fellows and his 17 assists.

Joliet West's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Illinois Math & Science Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Joliet West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Edwardsville on the 29th. As for Illinois Math & Science Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Evergreen Park on the 29th.
