Basketball Recap: Jefferson Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Jefferson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 57-54 victory from a begrudging Silver Foxes squad. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since November 19th.

Elnathan Pieri went supernova for Jefferson, putting up 26 points. David Luna was another key player, posting 14 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 6-14. As for Cathedral, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clint at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Cathedral, they are taking a road trip to square off against El Paso at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. El Paso will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Cathedral surely won't give up without a fight.
