Pearl City has gone 9-1 against Waipahu recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Wednesday. Pearl City will be playing at home against Waipahu  at 3:00  p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Pearl City is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Hawaii's top teams: Mililani, who was ranked first  at the time (Pearl City was ranked 13th). Pearl City came up short against  Mililani last Saturday, falling  10-2. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Pearl City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Noah Bernal, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple. Another  was  Jace Noda, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Pearl City  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most five  strikeouts in seven consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile, Waipahu fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Kailua  on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost  13-1 to the Surfriders.
