Volleyball Recap: CHESS Christian Wins Going Away Against Milford Christian

CHESS Christian's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against Milford Christian as they made off with a 3-0 win.

CHESS Christian never let Milford Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 27-25.

Sierra Schappacher was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 14 digs and three aces. Those 14 digs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kate Magoto, who had 18 digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good server: CHESS Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

CHESS Christian now has a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, CHESS Christian will head out to face off against Spring Valley Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Milford Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Bible Academy at 7:15 p.m. on September 16.
