It was a good run, but Brillion unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 63-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Zephyrs are ranked 14th).

Brillion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. Mary Catholic, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Brillion will take on Kiel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Mary Catholic, they will face off against Reedsville at 7:15 p.m. on January 11th.
