There's no place like home for Torrance, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past the Palos Verdes Sea Kings 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Tartars: when they faced off against the Sea Kings on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-1 defeat.

Aiden Anaya spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Torrance saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mateo Rickman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Torrance is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Palos Verdes, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.
