Here's a name to remember in college basketball for 2017-18: Isaiah Poor Bear Chandler.

A 6-foot-9, 240-pound senior center, Poor Bear Chandler delivered a verbal commitment to powerhouse Wichita State over the weekend according to the Wichita Eagle.

Poor Bear Chandler averaged 14.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots per game during the 2016-17 season at Omaha Central (Omaha, Neb.). One of Cornhusker State's premier programs, the Eagles went 19-6 and reached the Class A quarterfinals.

Originally headed to New Mexico, Poor Bear Chandler elected to reconsider after Lobos head coach Craig Neal was dismissed in April.

The Nebraska big man is a below-the-rim bruiser who looks a bit like current Shocker Shaquille Morris.

Under head coach Gregg Marshall, Wichita State has won 25 or more games in each of the past eight seasons and reached the Final Four in 2013.
