 Richards can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game  in Saturday's  second game. They had just enough and edged the Round Top-Carmine Cubs out  6-5. This was a revenge  matchup for Richards, as the team was forced to settle for  a  12-10 defeat when these two played  in Saturday's  first game.
  Rope Greenhaw was a major factor no matter where he played. He  struck out nine batters over  5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   one  hit. Greenhaw was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-5 with a  triple and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  COTTON POOL was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-5.
 Richards' win  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-8. As for Round Top-Carmine, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richards is on the road again  on Tuesday to play Somerville at 6:30  p.m. As for Round Top-Carmine, they will  face off against Fayetteville at 4:00  p.m.  in Tuesday's  first game. Fayetteville is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game  this season.
