Soccer Recap: Saluda Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Saluda and Mid-Carolina, and Mid-Carolina kept the tradition alive. The Saluda Tigers came up short against the Mid-Carolina Rebels on Friday, falling 5-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Tigers were already down 4-1.

Luis Valdez and Jaaziel Rosales scored both of Saluda's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Saluda's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mid-Carolina, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saluda will head out to take on Dutch Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mid-Carolina, they will head out on the road to face off against Pendleton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
