Baseball Game Preview: Ware Shoals Hornets vs. McBee Panthers

The Ware Shoals Hornets will head out to face off against the McBee Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ware Shoals comes in on four and McBee on ten.

Ware Shoals is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Dixie.

Ware Shoals saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Madden, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Thursday. McBee was the clear victor by an 11-4 margin over Abbeville. The result was nothing new for McBee, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ware Shoals' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for McBee, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.

Ware Shoals might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from McBee in their previous matchup back in April of 2017. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
