Softball Recap: West Iredell Takes a Loss

West Iredell lost against North Lincoln last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors lost 13-1 to the Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly 12 runs.

West Iredell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Stikeleather, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for West Iredell and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for North Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

West Iredell will square off against Hickory at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Red Tornadoes at the right time seeing as the Red Tornadoes are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for North Lincoln, they will be playing at home against Foard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
