Baseball Game Preview: Oak Harbor Wildcats vs. Blaine Borderites

The Oak Harbor Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Blaine Borderites at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Oak Harbor comes in on four and Blaine on six.

On Tuesday, Oak Harbor beat Squalicum 8-3.

Meanwhile, Blaine made easy work of Lakewood on Tuesday and carried off a 13-2 victory. Considering the Borderites have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Oak Harbor's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Blaine, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Oak Harbor came up short against Blaine in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 10-5. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
