Baseball Recap: Bellingham Takes a Loss

Bellingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Meridian Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bayhawks of the 7-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Bellingham's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Meridian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bellingham will face off against rival Squalicum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Meridian is set to square off against their familiar foe Lynden at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
