Volleyball Recap: Margaretta Takes a Loss

Margaretta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Edison Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-14.

Lillian Belak paced Margaretta's offense, picking up ten kills. Belak were helped by Tarah Hershey and Ellianna Young, who contributed ten assists each.

Edison had a senior duo take command as Paige McFadden had 17 assists and two aces and Stella Brown had ten digs. McFadden has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Margaretta's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Edison, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Margaretta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Gibsonburg on the 27th. As for Edison, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Vermilion on the 30th.
