Football Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

Union County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 63-26 loss at the hands of the Carter Green Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Green Hornets are ranked 103rd).

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Carter, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Union County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cumberland Gap at 7:00 p.m. As for Carter, they are taking a road trip to take on South-Doyle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
