Baseball Game Preview: Whiting Oilers vs. Illiana Christian Vikings

For the second straight game, Whiting will face off against Illiana Christian. The Oilers will take on the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whiting has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 11 straight defeats, while Illiana Christian will come in with eight straight wins.

Whiting fell victim to Illiana Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 16-0 to the Vikings.

For Illiana Christian's part, Spencer Bandstra and Jake Scott were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Bandstra pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Scott pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had over his last three matchups.
