Baseball Recap: Cloverleaf Comes Up Short

Cloverleaf made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Field, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Colts fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 4-2 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Colts have suffered since May 13, 2024.

Cloverleaf dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Field, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Field didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-6 victory against Ravenna on the 7th. Hopefully Cloverleaf paid attention to the Falcons' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
