After a string of seven wins, Forestburg's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 49-39 to the Saint Jo Panthers. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 48-40.

Forestburg's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jesse Wadsworth, who posted 15 points. The matchup was Wadsworth's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Sanchez, who had 11 points.

Forestburg's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 19-6. As for Saint Jo, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-13.

Forestburg has already played their next contest (against Gold-Burg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Saint Jo has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Prairie Valley.
