Baseball Recap: Lake Highland Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Highland Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Moore Hornets. The Highlanders were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Colin Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Lake Highland Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bishop Moore, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lake Highland Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-11 win against Titusville on the 17th. As for Bishop Moore, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Pacifica on the 17th.
