Volleyball Game Preview: Workman Lobos vs. Pomona Red Devils

The Workman Lobos will venture away from home to challenge the Pomona Red Devils at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Workman is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Workman lost 3-0 to Bassett on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Pomona came up short against Ganesha on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Red Devils have struggled against the Giants recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-23.

Workman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Pomona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Workman suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pomona in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Lobos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
