Basketball Recap: James Wai's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jenkintown over New Hope-Solebury

If Jenkintown was feeling good fresh off their 53-28 takedown of Renaissance Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jenkintown Drakes fell 63-55 to the New Hope-Solebury Lions on Thursday. The Drakes have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Jenkintown lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was James Wai, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Those 15 points gave him a new career-high. Matt Ecker was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

Jenkintown's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for New Hope-Solebury, their win bumped their record up to 5-16.
