Volleyball Recap: Wayne Trace Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Torree Sinn and Emma Whitman

Wayne Trace extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Monday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Liberty Center Tigers, falling 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Wayne Trace's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Whitman, who had eight assists and five digs, and Torree Sinn, who had 13 digs and eight kills. Sinn has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 19 times she's played.

As for Liberty Center, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Liberty Center can attribute much of their success to Chloe Mohler, who had 17 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Mohler has posted since back in August of 2024.

Coming up, Wayne Trace will challenge Paulding at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Center, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Archbold on the 26th.
