Delano hadn't done well against McFarland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

While Delano won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Melissa Cabrera paced Delano's offense, picking up ten kills. Cabrera got some help from Emma Allred and her 11 assists. Cabrera was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

When it comes to explaining why McFarland lost, don't look at Leslie Rodriguez. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Delano's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for McFarland, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-29-1.

Delano didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Taft on the 23rd. McFarland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
