Football Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Ansley/Litchfield's offense. They had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Stuart Broncos. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Spartans haven't been shut out since back in September.

Owen Brott threw for 26 yards. Owen Cunningham was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Stuart's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Schmaderer, who rushed for 52 yards and one score, and also caught one TD. Another back making a difference was Austin Connot, who rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Ansley/Litchfield and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Stuart, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

As of now, neither Ansley/Litchfield nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
