Volleyball Recap: Trinity Lutheran's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Trinity Lutheran lost against Castle back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Bailey Bonde paced Trinity Lutheran's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bonde got some help from Bella Wehmiller and her 32 assists. Presley Meyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Castle to victory were Karsyn Wilhelmus and Jaycee Springer. Wilhelmus had 30 digs and three aces, while Springer had 12 digs and two aces. Those 30 digs gave Wilhelmus a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity Lutheran fell to 2-1. As for Castle, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Trinity Lutheran has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Center Grove on the 18th. As for Castle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Barr-Reeve on the 19th.
